Where?

The World Bird Sanctuary is in Southwest St. Louis County, near Valley Park.  The map and directions below are taken from the WBS website. ( It was not possible to link directly to the directions. )

Take I-44 to the Hwy. 141 exit (Exit 272, approx. 4 miles west of the I-44/I-270 interchange). Go north on Hwy. 141 to the first available right turn, which leads to the I-44 north outer road. (Follow signs for Lone Elk Park.) Turn left on the north outer road and continue 2.4 miles to the World Bird Sanctuary entrance, which will be on your right. The World Bird Sanctuary entrance is just before the entrance to Lone Elk Park.
