I live in Southeast Illinois, in the small rural town of Bridgeport.

I have been raising birds just a short time.  I started Feathered Frenzy Aviary in 2002 with finches, parakeets, lovebirds, canaries, and  cockatiels.  While at a bird fair in Springfield, IL I watched my first National Cockatiel Society show and was hooked.  I joined NCS, bought leg bands and entered my first show in November 2004 in Chicago.  I am one of the NCS Illinois state coordinators and the NCS Youth Program Director.

My main focus now is raising and showing wonderfully socialized exhibition cockatiels, and promoting small bird ownership.  My friend Georgia Fletcher and I are partners in several pairs of green cheeked Conure mutations, a pair of Blue Crown Conures, Meyer Parrots, Hahn's Macaws and a pair of African Greys.  I spend my days feeding babies, cleaning bird cages, maintaining the aviary and babysitting for my 3 grandchildren.
