Choosing a Vet can literally be a life and death matter. You are your bird's best friend, but your Vet is a close second. How should you choose an Avian Veterinarian? Well the wording of the question is a small hint. Not all Vets treat birds, and that is fine.
The Gateway Parrot Club is cautious about recommending Veterinarians because of the responsibility it implies. The Vets listed here are members of the Association of Avian Veterinarians, and are known to Club members. You may also attend any of our meetings and talk personally with members about their experiences.
